Special
Skills: Assisting people in achieving a tapered, athletic
look. Working with clients on proper technique, motivation and
time efficiency. As a spinning instructor for the last eight years,
David has been
able to incorporate a love of music into one of the Bay area’s
most popular Spin classes, hence the name Spin Dave. A sports
correspondent for The St. Petersburg Times, David has a cutting-edge
personal style, remarkable dancing techniques, smart and caddy
humor, gregarious attitude and a thoughtful persona.
Nicknamed E.T. in middle
school for his long neck and skinny arms, David was a late bloomer
who had trouble adding muscle to his long frame. He began training
at 15 with his uncle in a no-frills warehouse gym in which each
of the 12 members had a key. No mirrors, no A/C and no machines,
just the basic benches and dumbbells. However, it was an environment
that would pay dividends down the road as David learned there
was no substitute for hard work. Once that hard work began to
pay off, he continued to feed off the results. It is that same
enthusiasm and “can-do” attitude that he inspires
in his clients. With more than 15 years of training and soaking
up knowledge at gyms all over South Florida, David has the versatility
and passion to make clients feel like they can break out of their
body and achieve results without boredom. He believes in quality
time over quantity of time spent in the gym. It’s get in,
work hard, and get out.
